1st Anniversary

State of Nevada
City of Las Vegas
Little White Chapel Drive-up Window
It was a Friday night after a taping of the Roseanne show. Julie had come to the show and we left the show together to attend a cast/crew party. We had been chatting as we were driving, and after about an hour, Julie asked, "How far away is this party?" Eric replied, "There is no party. We're going to Vegas to get married again. Your bag is packed and in the trunk."
Eric's friend, Becky Greenlaw, put us up at the Rio with a great view of the city. We got an official license from the courthouse for a renewal of marriage vows, and began searching for an Elvis to hitch us again. We were unable to secure a reasonably priced impersonator, so we searched out other chapel alternatives. We decided upon the Little White Wedding Chapel that had a drive up window bragging 24-hour service. So, being in the city that plays all night, we pulled up to the drive-through wedding chapel at 2AM for our service. Oddly, there was an entire wedding party decked out in full wedding garb stuffed in a minivan in front of us getting married. When it was our turn, the officiant leaned out of his window and asked us to turn down the radio for the ceremony. We obliged and were promptly remarried.
Little did we know at this point, we had started a lifelong quest to renew our vows in every state for our anniversary. (Eric gets full credit for the concept.)
