Anniversaries 1-10 (1995-2004)

So this is where it all got started. In these early years we were finding what type of anniversary trip best suited us. We had some casual ones and some more formal but we almost always had friends and family with us. The decade culminated in a 10th anniversary celebration in Eric's hometown of Fairfax, Virginia. 

1995 - Nevada 
Drive to Las Vegas late at night, a wedding at 2AM at a drive-up window, all-you-can-eat buffets and comp'd hotel room. 

1996 - California 
Cruising with friends in a big Cadillac, ceremony in the small chapel in Yosemite Valley, dinner at the Awahnee and all in one day! 

1997 - Washington 
The Space Needle, the Salish Lodge, Monopoly and learning how to choose a wine. 

1998 - Florida 
Eric's grandparents, a pink hotel, 1940's clothes and our second wedding cake. 

1999 - Utah 
Butch Cassidy's hometown, Sundance, Philo T. Farnsworth and the Great Salt Lake. 

2000 - Oregon 
Stayed in a treehouse, got married at a lighthouse, Crater Lake and a lovely post wedding dinner at Pizza Hut. 

2001 - Idaho 
Sun Valley Lodge, Thomas Mangelson pictures, ice skates and Hemingway. 

2002 - Montana 
Smokejumpers, Glacier National Park, bison and Mann Gulch. 

2003 - Vermont 
Newhart, Von Trapps, Rock of Ages, ice cream, cheese, apple cider and maple syrup. 

2004 - Virginia 
Stonewall Jackson, VMI, The Falls Church and dinner with family and friends at the Melting Pot.
